FOREIGN FIND: London — raincoat

by

I arrived in London with two raincoats in my suitcase (this one and this one).  Yet when I left my friend’s apartment the first morning of my trip, it was warm and sunny so I went out without either one.  Halfway through the day it started pouring and I figured I was out of luck — until I stumbled on this raincoat from Altuzarra while shopping at Brown’s.  It has everything I could want — an awesome khaki/gray color and chic silhouette, a zipper instead of buttons, a slit in the back, adjustable pulls to cinch in the waist, pockets at the hip big enough to hold a small umbrella, and an oversized hood.  I wore it throughout the rest of my trip and was so happy I had it every time it started to rain.  It may not have been my most essential purchase, but if I was going to add to my collection, I suppose London was the place to do it.  I think I’m all set with rain gear now!
